I wanted a quick and dirty way to fix it – and this was it!I personally prefer k anyway. The Spyder3Pro is a great value for it’s relatively low cost in the world of calibration tools. I didn’t see too much difference between the uncalibratied vs. Whites came out a dull muddy beige as opposed to a bright white.

Hello,Just a FYI for all Spyder2 users.For those of you that use ColorVision/ColorData's Spyder 2 – 2Pro, the SP2 Ver. 3.5.2 Software is NOT compatible with Windows 7 and there is NO plans to release an Updated version of the software.ColorData would (of Course) like you to update to Spyder3 which is compatible with windows 7.One sort of work around is to use the Spyder2express software which sort of runs on windows 7. But your options are very limited and it is only good for one monitor – so my dual monitor setup is only half calibrated.

I plan to move to a new PC on the W7 platform. I have the Spyder2Pro package. I had the Sypder 3 Pro package, but I sent it back.

The Pro 3 just did not work for me. The profiles were horrible and way off.even after multiple installs and profile session. I guess it could have been a bad sensor, but I went back to my Pro2.The main point is I TRUST the Pro2 and my Mitsubishi CRT combination.When the CRT dies I am headed to a NEC spectraview set-up. Interesting, as I'm using Windows 7 64 bit as well, and the same 2.3.5 Spyder2Pro software works fine. I wonder if something else is causing the problem?

Possible things to try:.Be sure you have the latest video card driver.Go to the monitor manufacturer's website and see if there are any downloads for your monitor. If there are, then it might be worth looking at what they're for.Downloads for monitors are not necessary in most circumstances, but they can enable the system to identify the precise make and model of your display, and that may be the issue you're experiencing. The only software available at that link with that version (2.3.6) is Spyder2express 2.3.6 - Win.My inclination is that the problem here is that something is misconfigured and confusing the (now old and possibly buggy) software, but I don't know what and have no other recommendation as it works fine for meOne other shot in the dark: what if you open device manager, 'delete' your monitor from the list, and reboot? Rebooting would then cause Windows to 're-detect' your monitor and, hopefully, set things up right. This is pure speculation, but it would not be that hard to try.
